NEW from GDO, this electric aluminium roller garage door is purpose made to the millimetre and is supplied as standard with remote control operation.
2 remote control handsets and an internal wall mounted control panel are standard, along with leading safety edge detection for preventing closure onto any obstacles and full compliance with UK regulations on the use of electric operated doors with remote operation.
Made to measure sizes up to a maximum ordering width of 3000mm including the guides either side.
Maximum height is 2225mm plus the height of the roll and endplates which is 205mm
Available in 3 very popular and striking colours with white guides and hood when ordered. Optional 12 premium colour finshes at small surcharge.
The guides, ednplates and half hood or full hood are also finished in the same colour as you choose for the curtain when ordering.
This is the Full Hood cover version for this roller door where the complete enclosure of the curtain ensures the very best weather protection at all times.
The ‘half hood’ version of this roller door has a folded aluminium hood cover which forms a front facia when fitting behind or inbetween any opening to give a neat finish and better sealing when closed.The hood cover is fitted to the endplates on either side of the roller barrel which the curtain rolls around.

The GDO ROLL 55 is constructed from high quality 55mm deep double skinned aluminium slats with a foam filled core. It is a made to measure, 240V, tube motor operated, electric roller garage door, manufactured to the exact millimetre in width and height.
The door is remote control electrically operated as standard and incorporates an internal emergency manual release in case of a power failure. This is a winding process using a winding handle provided attaching via a hook to the eye of the motor drive. This can be specified as either on the left or right as viewed from inside the garage (same side as motor).
2 handsets are provided as standard using a radio remote signal and a pulse control logic. One button push to open, one push to stop the door if required during the opening or closing cycle and then one push to close the door once opened fully. The door has a bottom edge safety detection system to detect any obstacles during operation. The door will stop as soon as it hits any obstacle. The detection systsem is built into the bottom rubber edge seal.
The Genesis internal wall mounted control system dimensions are 140mm h x 120mm w x 50mm d.
The curtain of this door rolls around a steel barrel which is supported either side by steel endplates which have a dimension of 205mm x 205mm, which is the headroom required if you wish to hide the roll. Always allow for a maximum 50mm of curtain ‘hang down’ when the door is opened if the opening height is critical to you. This is the same on all roller garage doors.
The guide height as used for ordering does not included the endplate size above it and the loss of drive through height with the bottom slat hang down when open
Door guides either side are 60mm wide and 34mm deep and the door is ordered using the ‘OVERGUIDE’ width from the curtain and guides combined.
The door can be fitted BEHIND or INBETWEEN the structural opening as required but always check you have order the correct dimensions to take into account the guides and endplates (full hood cover if ordered is the same dimensions)

These measurements are correct for behind fit installations, please contact us for guidance inbetween fit installations.
Clear opening height = guide height - 50mm (to allow for the bottom slat hand-down into the guide). The 205mm endplates incorporating the motor and barrel are to be added onto the guide height to give your total height required (Overall Height)
