DescriptionThe SeceuroDoor represents the best in commercial and industrial roller shutter doors from a company with over 30 years experience and development in products, mainly built for security from the outset. The SeceuroDoor 7501 is an Insurance approved security roller shutter tested to Loss Prevention Standard 1175 (LPS1175). It is an SR1 rated door.
NOTE: THIS DOOR/SHUTTER HAS TO BE FACE FITTED INTERNALLY TO COMPLY WITH THE CERTIFICATION FOR THE LEVEL 1 SECURITY RATING.
Low to medium use, high quality, commercial specification roller shutter door with SR1 security rating and build, using a single phase 240V electric tube motor for easy daily operation. This is a roller door with a Traditional build specification. Click here for further information.
Electric tube motor roller doors are usually for low usage openings with minimal daily use as they do not have high ratings for multiple operations. Neatly integrated motor built inside the barrel for the roller curtain, so completely hidden apart from limit settings and cabling for power and controls.. The controls for operation are the same options as for an industrial motor drive. The usual controls for a tube motor tend to be a simple internal key or rocker switch simply because the door isnt opening or closing very often each day.
Typical use would be on any building requiring some peace of mind in using a security rated door, or even as a request to have a rating and certification, which is more common these days. The tube motor is typically rated to cope with around 10 - 20 operations per day.
240V electric tube motors cannot be used on very high openings as they don’t have the required pulling force. This roller shutter includes an internal manual override facility as standard, with a winding handle and the exit for attachment of the winding handle underneath the roller curtain, integrated with the motor on the same side as chosen.

NOTE: THIS DOOR OR SHUTTER MUST TO BE FACE FITTED INTERNALLY TO COMPLY AND ACHIEVE THE CERTIFICATION FOR THE LEVEL 1 SECURITY RATING. The guides and complete roll of the curtain must be completely behind the structural opening and not visible from outside. If you choose to fit inbetween of externally then the certfication compliance is not possible
Traditional shutter construction employing steel channel and angle guides with electric or manual operation.
Stronger construction, more suitable for larger sizes
Endplate attached to angle, therefore more suitable for shutters where the headplate requires additional support such as a goalpost steel frame aperture.
The electric door tube motor can be controlled by various internal methods, but as a security rated door the options are more limited to comply with the certification for security
The most basic and standard method is an internal wall mounted push button station with a hold to run logic. You stand and hold the button firm for the duration of the opening or closing cycle and this way no safety edge or beam systems are legally required keeping the costs to a minimum. Of course you must be able to enter the building via another door for this method. This is the most common method for a tube motor drive simply because logically it has been chosen for low usage and isn't operated many times a day or week.
You can add an external keyswitch for external control and we advise this is in a steel box housing..
To comply with the security rating you will also have a manual bottom rail locking system included.
Colours
This roller shutter door is available with the curtain prefinished in either a powdercoat finish which would be the same colour each side of the slat, or it is available in a plastisol coated external finish, which has a standard off white internal paint finish.
As totally standard and used by many people, depending on the roller door location, you can have the steel curtain in its natural galvanised steel finish. This is the lowest cost option.
We can offer the door in special colours other than the ones showing in our online shop options and of course you can mix and match the guides, hood cover and curtain if required, please email or call for details and prices.
Measure
The measuring, pricing and ordering dimensions for any electric roller shutter door with an electric tube motor drive is by the OVERALL WIDTH and OVERALL HEIGHT including the guides for the width and endplates for the height. This is regardless of whether it is a Contintental or Traditional build arrangement. See diagram below.
OVERALL WIDTH with guides included = Ordering Width
OVERALL HEIGHT with endplates included = Ordering Height
The Traditional build roller door arrangement uses heavier duty steel guides with steel angle sections in the set up, where the Continental build roller doors use aluminium guides. Traditional build doors can go to larger sizes generally and have more adaptations with the guides and track fixing angles used when there are more challenging installation issues.
Both door builds have the guides, endplate and optional roll hood cover fitted within the dimensions of the external endplate dimensions.
The endplate and hood cover size will vary depending on the height of the door so please be aware to check the drive through height and endplate size if your dimensions and critical.
Face Fit - Behind the Opening
Most roller shutter doors are installed to the inside face of the aperture and in a perfect scenario your daylight opening dimensions are the inbetween guides and underneath end plate dimensions, bearing in mind ANY roller shutter will always have a ‘hangdown’ when opened fully making the final drive through slightly less than the height of the guides. This is normal and varies on different models depending on the curtain specification. If your opening drive through height is critical speak to us first to determining the best height to order.
Reveal Fit - Inbetween the Opening
Some roller shutter doors are installed inbetween the aperture and this is where the electric tube motor roller door arrangement is best used, as all components are inboard from the ordering dimensions. You can install ANY roller shutter door inbetween an opening, but industrial motor driven models require some additional steel work to make them fit inbetween properly.
