What is a Steel Doorset?
Posted on 16th September 2018With so much news about fire doors and general security of properties today, a definition for what exactly a door is proves to be useful.
In a public building there are inevitably many doors to walk through or close, and their purpose and funtion should be defined by standards to ensure compliance and keep risk to a minimum, the fire rated door being the most obvious example.
If it doesnt perform in a fire, the results can be disastrous. How do you know if a door is fit for its purpose or not, surely it should be simple to work out?
