This manual fast opening version of the 50 FE provides effortless operation, with various configurations possible and a fast release version for the fire service available.
Folding doors are being used more and more in the UK and it isn’t hard to see why with the double skinned steel versions offering so much performance as standard with the 50mm double walled steel panels. Greater security, greater insulation and energy saving and also something we find many people are concerned about but don’t realise it, quiet operation. Any industrial or commercial door which is opening and closing many times during an average day really does need to be quiet and so many people simply dont realise just how noisy their doors perhaps are.

The FE Teckentrup 50 folding door (4-leaf, 2:2 coupled, 90° opening angle; alternatively also 2-leaf, 2:0; 0:2 coupled) can be perfectly equipped with electric sliding arm drive.
This innovative, space-saving door meets maximum demands in terms of speed, convenience and cost-efficiency. Particularly of use in areas subject to high levels of traffic, such as workshops, car wash systems or paint shops, an automatically opening door saves plenty of time and energy.
Reliable and Secure
Door systems can either be operated using a standard and simple dead man or an impulse control. Doors can open towards the inside or outside of the aperture. As part of pulse control specification, safety is provided by a self-monitoring accident protection device at the main closing edge, as well as photocells and anti-clamping profiles on all vertical closing edges additionally protecting from any injury.
The Teckentrup folding doors can be specified with any number of windows or other inserts, such as vented grilles for example, all to provide the best solution for the client.
In the event of a fire every second is crucial, i.e. all doors must open as quickly as possible after having triggered the alarm.
The FE "Teckentrup 50" folding door is subject to spring force and it is unlocked using a pull rope. The door opens in seconds (without the need for electrical power).
The opening speed can be set individually. The door leaves can also be closed very easily by hand from the outside. No need for convoluted spring tensioning as would be the case with conventional doors.
