The Traditional build door and use of a GfA 415V industrial electric motor give a door package which will cover most applications in the UK where high speed or insulation is not required, but security is most important.
The thickest guage 18swg curtain offers an even stronger door curtain over the 20 and 22 guage models. This is a low to medium use, high quality, industrial ‘Traditional’ build roller shutter door, using a three phase, 415V, external mounted chain drive industrial GfA motor for electric operation. Built and tested for internal face fitting in the traditional build set up, this door will cover so many applications and provide excellent and reliable daily operation.

The rigorous LPS 1175 burglary resistance standard is operated by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). LPCB are the UK’s leading independent certification body and the LPS 1175 standard is recognised and endorsed by 16 organisations including the Association of British Insurers and the Association of Police Officers.

ApplicationTypical use would be on any building, workshop or factory warehouse requiring higher levels of security and peace of mind. Standard motor and specification is rated to offer around 30 - 60 operations per day, or less. High performance motors can be specified when using three phase drive for higher usage.
This roller shutter includes an internal mounted emergency manual override facility as standard, with a chain pulley override integrated with the motor on the same side as chosen.

SpecificationThe standard build of this door uses the thickest 18 guage (1.2mm) galvanised steel single skin curtain available in various standard colour finish options.
Colours
This roller door is available with the curtain prefinished in a powdercoat finish which would be the same colour on each side of the slat.
The standard powdercoat colours are a satin finish but gloss or matt finishes are available, please call or email for up to date details.
As totally standard and used by many people, depending on the roller door location, you can have the steel curtain in its natural galvanised steel finish.

Control Options
The electric chain drive 415V motor can be controlled by 2 standard methods:
The most basic method is an internal wall mounted push button station with a hold to run logic. You stand and hold the button firm for the duration of the opening or closing cycle and this way no safety edge or beam systems are legally required keeping the costs to a minimum. Of course you must be able to enter the building via another door for this method.
The second option is a wall mounted control panel which can be programmed to have an impulse operation meaning you simply push the up or down button momentarily and the door will auto operate and has safety edge detection built in with the bottom T rail section to stop if an obstacle is met.
For LPS1175 level 2 compliance when the door is closed the bullet locks have to be inserted and secured in place.This would normally be carried out at the last operation of the day and part of the security protocol in place.

WarrantyAll Seceurodoor products, including the electric motors and controls are guaranteed against defects of material and workmanship by SWS (the manufacturer) and subject to correct installation, maintenance and operation, for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase (invoice date)
MeasureThe ordering sizes for any of our ‘Traditional’ build roller shutter doors are the actual daylight opening sizes In-Between the side guides and Underneath the endplates. Make sure you always understand the guide and angle widths either side of the door curtain and the endplate/hood cover size in relation to the door size ordered.
For the perfect internal face fitting situation behind an opening these ordering sizes are effectively the aperture size, but there is always a small hang down on the bottom slat when fully open, which affects the final drive through height. If you need to maximise your height then the hangdown needs to be accounted for and the door ordered higher.
Samson Doors will always provide a final detailed door drawing for you to check and sign off with us before any manufacturing commences.
The Traditional build on this roller shutter door incorporates steel guides and track angles with optional arrangements to suit the fixing points on site. A ‘Traditional’ build roller shutter will use steel guides, channels, endplates and optional hood cover. The endplates and hood cover size will vary depending on the height of the door so please be aware to check the drive through height and endplate size.
An emergency manual override is included as standard with the access underneath the endplate on the motor side as facing looking at the endplate side of the shutter. Other positions are available on request.
