DescriptionSide hung, fast action bi folding steel doors specifically where fast opening is required such as a fire station or other emergency services. This superb folding door is available as a 2 leaf door folding to the left, right or both sides (0+2, 2+0 or 2+2 panel arrangement).
The door leaves fit to the inside face of the opening and fold inwards to 90 degrees, all in around 5-7 seconds with electric operation.
The door panels are traditionally manufactured using an internal galvanised steel channel frame, spot-welded with internal strengthening plates at all corners, and packing plates at all hardware positions. They are clad with pre-finished Plastisol coated steel sheets and injected with high density foam insulation to form an extremely rigid flat panel and without any mechanical fixings. The panels are then factory fitted with hinges, handles and push fit seals to provide a fully finished product, which makes site installation simplicity itself.
The maximum width for these Swift electric operated doors is 4750mm with a maximum height of 6000mm in a bi fold arrangement and then 2350mm wide for a 2 panel single parting arrangement.
The panel thickness is 52mm with a weight of 20 kg per square metre. The electric drive motor is a 230V single phase from world leaders FAAC.

finer tuning, control both door halves. A push-button unit is supplied. A manual release arm is fitted to each motor at a high level to enable the manual operation of the door.

Various safety sensors can be installed to suit the environment and panel arrangements. These include safety detection, optoelectronic edges, infra red presence detection sensors, photocells and then various traffic light systems can be added for visual warning of door movements.

Pedestrian Wicket Door

Hardware comprises a Briton 5520 mortise sashlock, 25mm low-profile anodised aluminium lever handles, external Europrofile cylinder with internal thumbturn, 1½ pairs of stainless steel butt hinges and a hidden door limiting stay. 85mm high step with 40mm wide aluminium threshold strip.

Emergency escape furniture. Wicket door opens outwards. Hardware comprises a Briton 379 panic bar, external override cylinder and finger latch, 1½ pairs stainless steel butthinges and a hidden overhead door limiting stay. 85mm high step with 40mm wide aluminium threshold strip.
Locking/handles for Electric Door
Standard
A black thermoplastic easy-grip pull handle is fitted internally between each pair of leaves. An electro hydraulic lock within the drive motor automatically holds the door in the closed position. A small lever fitted at high level to the motor body disengages the drive, and allows the door to be opened manually.
A bottom guide pin engages with a cast aluminium floor shoe fitted to the threshold, and holds the leading edge firm. A black thermoplastic easy-grip pull handle is fitted internally.
Option 1
A lever operated floor bolt is fitted internally between pairs of leaves and is electrically interlocked.

Using microwave technology, the sensor is adjustable so as to ignore pedestrians, or parallel traffic. Please note: maximum opening height is 5000mm for microwave sensors.
