A heavy duty 3 phase electric steel roller shutter door manufactured with traditional 75m concave galvanised steel roll formed sections.

Using various options for the side channel guides the door can be manufactured up to 6000mm wide and 7000mm high making it ideal for so many applications in warehouses, industrial factories, farm buildings and so on.

Three Phase
Three phase power is typically used in industrial applications where large motors are used, such as manufacturing or processing. Three phase power offers significant benefits, compared to single phase power, in the design of electric motors. This enables three phase motors to be simpler in design, more compact, last longer and less costly to produce than equivalent single phase motors.

Application
The Safedrive® is a specially developed drive unit for powering rolling shutter doors and grilles which are not counter-balanced by springs or other devices. All models in the range use a high precision worm gearbox to ensure smooth operation and a long life. Each gearbox incorporates a separate safety brake meeting the anti-fallback requirements for vertically lifting doors, a limit switch mechanism for precise control of the stopping position and is provided with plug in pre-wired control systems.

Simplifying on-site Installation
All Safedrives® may be installed with the motor axis either horizontal (as shown)
or vertical. The hand chain operator is suitable for use in either plane to optimise
installation space.

Reliability
The Safedrive®has the widest range of torques and speeds of any door drive on the market and in addition there is a whole range of special drives available including higher speeds and explosion proof models. Drives are designed, for a typical door size, to have a life of more than 20,000 cycles and for use up to 6 times per hour but this figure can be raised significantly for high usage applications by appropriate rating of drives. Consult the technical department if you have a non standard application.

Control Panel Connections
All safedrives® are compatible with the full range of Guthrie Douglas control panels.

Security Shutters
The operation of the shutter along with the finish of the curtain, guide rails and box is guaranteed for a period of 2 years. The Somfy tubular motor is guaranteed for a period of 5 years against faulty materials and workmanship.
