What is the Maximum Width or an Industrial Roller Shutter Door?
Most standard industrial specification roller shutters will be manufactured up to 7000mm wide and 6000mm high. Above this size the construction becomes far more critical as the weight and size of the curtain roll gets very large and heavy and the curtain for the door needs to be of a certain strength and standard to avoid sagging, or ‘deflection’. Deflection in a roller door causes damage very quickly from operating.
We can supply a roller shutter door up to 18 metres wide in one single unit and this same model can be doubled up to 36 metres wide with a removable central transom for full width opening. This will be a double skinned steel curtain construction.
