How do I Measure and Order a Seceuroglide Insulated Roller Garage Door?
This is a simple process compared to some garage doors. The pricing and ordering is done by the Overall Width including the relevant side channels and the Overall Height of the side channels without the curtain roll and endplate included..
This method is used by nearly all insulated roller garage door manufacturers, except Hormann and Garador
A Seceuroglide insulated roller door has 3 main areas to be aware of:
The actual daylight opening in-between the guides and the height to the top of the guides which can be referred to as the opening dimensions and the drive through width with the drive through height slightly affected by the hang down of the bottom slat, by about 50mm.
The side channels or guides, as these can vary from different Seceuroglide models with a Compact door having 60mm guides, a standard Seceuroglide has 75mm or 90mm guides and the Excel version has 90mm guides every time.
These widths have to be calculated and allowed for in the Overall Width.
The endplate size, which is the reference to the steel plates that support the roller door barrel and the curtain at the top. These endplates will vary like the side guides with a Compact door having a 205mm endplate size and the standard Seceuroglide has a 300mm endplate up to 3000mm high and above that it is 350mm. This endplate also supports a half or full hood cover if used and gives the same dimensions when fitted.
The diagram below shows the basic ordering dimensions and references for the Seceuroglide Classic and LT roller door and bear in mind these insulated roller garage doors can be installed inside the opening, in-between and also outside and the relevance of the dimensions will change depending where you are installing.
The Seceuroglide Compact dimensions are shown below and do not vary a great deal but always be aware the Compact is a different roller door to the standard door in that it uses a far lighter and thinner slat so do not be too worried if you do not have the necessary headroom for the standard door just be aware of what dimensions you end up with when installed. It is not necessary to order a Compact roller door just because you only have 220mm of headroom, with the standard Seceuroglide requiring 300mm you can then order the half box which creates a full fascia to cloak the potential gap left when fitted with less than the 300mm headroom.
